There are studies that prove that playing a sport can actually help in improving life-skills, as it enhances focus. Also, a fit mind, immunity and sound mental health reside in a fit body. Time spent playing sports boosts confidence, thus decreasing instances of low self-esteem.
It can be agreed that academics are important, but ‘all work and no play’ does really make Jack a dull boy.
WHO recommends physical activity for all age group for good health.Playing a sport not only keeps you physically fit but also goes a long way in keeping you stress-free and mentally strong. It’s also a great source of entertainment!Sports deserves as much sincerity and attention as any academic subject.
It helps develop leadership qualities too and foster a sense of team spirit. A sport inculcates a sense of competition and helps you deal with success and failure with a positive spirit. It teaches you to interact with people, communicate with them and collaborate as a team. It fosters collective thinking and harnesses your planning and delegation skills too.
Thus to promote health and fitness we have created Noida Sports League (NSL)- an annual event with a mission to make a sports loving country a sports playing country too.
